5. *Radiation Losses*: –
These occur due to the electromagnetic radiation from the transmission line, causing energy to be lost.
6. *Corona Losses*:-
These occur due to the ionization of air around the conductors, causing energy to be lost as heat and light.
7. *Leakage Losses*: –
These occur due to the current leaking through the insulation or other paths.
8. *Skin Effect Losses*: –
These occur due to the tendency of high-frequency currents to flow near the surface of the conductor, increasing resistance.
9. *Proximity Effect Losses*: –
These occur due to the interaction between adjacent conductors, causing energy to be lost.
10. *Ground Return Current Losses*: –
These occur due to the current flowing through the earth, causing energy to be lost.
These losses can be minimized by using proper conductor materials, optimizing transmission line design, and implementing efficient transmission technologies.
