PID tuning of control valve :
1. Determine the control valve’s PV (process variable)
2. Set the SP (set point)
3. Measure the PV and calculate the error
4. Calculate the P-term (proportional) response
5. Calculate the I-term (integral) response
6. Calculate the D-term (derivative) response
7. Add the P, I, and D terms to calculate the output
8. Apply the output to the control valve
9. Monitor the PV and adjust the tuning parameters as needed
